Privacy notice

This notice explains the limited personal data used to review provider listings, answer corrections and measure the site when a visitor chooses analytics.

Provider submission and correction data

The provider form may collect clinic name, location, contact email, website, conditions covered, service format and a short service description. It also uses anti-spam and security information needed to validate a submission. Do not include patient names, symptoms, diagnoses, reports, appointment details or any other health information.

The purpose is to assess a proposed listing or correction, verify it against public and professional sources, contact the submitter if clarification is needed, prevent duplicate or abusive submissions and keep an audit trail of the publication decision. The legal basis is the controller's legitimate interest in operating an accurate, secure and accountable public directory. A submission does not guarantee publication.

Retention

Provider-form records and associated review correspondence are retained for up to 180 days after submission, then deleted or reduced to a non-personal decision record unless a longer period is necessary to handle an active correction, dispute, security incident or legal obligation.

Analytics and cookies

Matomo and Google Analytics are optional. They do not load until you select “Allow analytics.” Your choice is stored locally in your browser. You can withdraw consent through Cookie Settings; the site then removes the analytics cookies it can access and reloads without analytics. Search Console supplies aggregated search-performance information and does not depend on the optional browser analytics choice.

Processors and recipients

Personal data may be processed by the site's hosting and private operational-storage providers, the email service used to handle a correction, Cloudflare Turnstile for abuse prevention, and the private portfolio enquiry system used to reconcile submissions. If analytics is allowed, measurement information is sent to the self-hosted Matomo service and Google Analytics. These services act under their own terms or processor arrangements as applicable. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or to protect the site against abuse.

External providers

Links to clinics and other organisations leave Divergent.ie. Those organisations are separate controllers for information you provide to them. Divergent.ie is not part of their booking, assessment or clinical relationship.

Your rights

Subject to applicable limits, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or object to processing. You may withdraw analytics consent at any time. Email hello@divergent.ie. You may also raise a concern with Ireland's Data Protection Commission.
